Rules and Regulations

  • At Sree Mookambika College of Nursing, we prioritize academic excellence, discipline, and holistic character development. These rules and regulations ensure a structured and respectful environment for all students, fostering both personal and professional growth.

Attendance and Fee Payment

    • Fee Payment Requirement: Students are allowed to attend classes only upon payment of fees. Yearly fees must be paid on time, as specified by the administration.
    • Discontinuation Policy: If a student discontinues their studies for any reason, they are required to pay the full tuition fees for the entire course period. All certificates, including the transfer certificate, will only be issued after clearing any outstanding dues.

Residential Campus

    • Mandatory Residency: Sree Mookambika College of Nursing operates as a 100% residential campus. All students are required to reside in the campus hostels.
    • Home Visits: Students may only visit their homes on dates approved by the management. Day scholar arrangements are not permitted under any circumstances.
    • Monthly Home Visit Policy: Students may visit home once a month on the second Saturday, returning by 8:00 am on Monday. For emergencies, parents must come in person to collect their wards, and female students must apply for leave as per protocol.

Dress Code

    • Uniform: A mandatory dress code is in place throughout the course. Uniforms and overcoats are provided by the college and must be worn by all students.
    • Hair and Accessories: Female students must tie their hair neatly and refrain from wearing hair accessories or flowers. Only small studs, simple chains, and one or two bangles are allowed.

Value-Oriented Programs

    • Character Development: The institution regularly organizes value-based classes and discussions to help build the character of students and encourage personal growth. Attendance and participation in these programs are encouraged as part of the college’s mission to nurture pious and respectful individuals.

Classroom and Library Usage

    • Classroom Usage: Students should not remain in classrooms when there are no scheduled classes. During free hours, they are expected to utilize the library for study and reference purposes.

Leave and Absence Protocol

    • Leave Application: Students must apply for leave when planning to go home and must follow the established leave protocol.
    • Medical Fitness Certificate: All students are required to submit a fitness certificate from a government medical officer before joining the college. A mandatory medical checkup is conducted by the college during admission.

Grievances

    • Complaint Resolution: For any grievances or concerns, students may approach the Principal or the Administrative Officer to seek assistance and address their issues.

Discipline and Conduct

Expected Conduct: Students are expected to maintain strict discipline and conduct themselves respectfully at all times on campus. This includes interactions in classrooms, hostels, and other campus facilities.

      • Consequences for Misconduct: Any violation of discipline will result in appropriate disciplinary actions by the college authorities.
