Additional Rules and Regulations

  • The following regulations supplement the existing rules, ensuring a safe, respectful, and disciplined learning environment at Sree Mookambika College of Nursing.

Anti-Ragging Policy

  • Zero Tolerance for Ragging: Ragging is strictly prohibited and is considered a criminal offense by law. Any student found participating in or encouraging ragging will face immediate expulsion from the institution.
  • Financial Liability: Expelled students will be liable to reimburse the institution for any losses incurred due to the expulsion. The Director’s decision on expulsion, liability, and reimbursement is final and binding.
  • Legal Action: In severe cases, the administration may report the incident to law enforcement for appropriate legal action.
  • Abetment of Ragging: Being present at the scene of ragging is considered abetment and is also punishable.

Valuables and Personal Belongings

  • No Valuables in Classrooms: Students are advised not to bring valuable items into classrooms. The college management is not responsible for any loss or damage to valuables left in classrooms.

Parental Responsibility and Communication

  • Monitoring Academic Progress: Parents are expected to monitor their wards’ academic performance and overall progress. They are encouraged to regularly contact the Head of Department (HOD) or Principal for updates on their ward’s performance.

Visitor Regulations

  • Visitor Access: Visitors are not permitted to meet students or faculty members without prior permission from the Director. This ensures minimal disruption to academic activities and protects student privacy.

Emergency Leave Protocol

  • Permission for Emergency Leave: In case of an emergency requiring students to leave class during college hours, students must obtain permission from the respective department, which must then be approved by both the Principal and the Director.

Prohibition of Political and Religious Conversations

    • Restricted Topics: Political and religious discussions are not permitted within the college premises. This policy is intended to maintain a neutral and harmonious environment conducive to academic learning.
