The following guidelines ensure a respectful, organized, and efficient learning environment within the classrooms of Sree Mookambika College of Nursing. Students are expected to adhere to these rules as part of the college’s commitment to discipline and professionalism.
Respectful Behavior Upon Teacher’s Arrival
Standing on Teacher’s Entry: As a sign of respect, all students must stand up when the teacher enters the classroom and remain standing until instructed to sit or until the teacher takes their seat.
Permission for Leaving the Classroom
Permission to Leave: Students are not allowed to leave the classroom during a session without the teacher’s permission. Students may only leave once the class has been officially dismissed.
Punctuality and Attendance
Assembly Before Class: Students are expected to assemble in the classroom at least five minutes before the scheduled class time.
Roll Call and Attendance: Attendance will be taken at the beginning of each class. Any student arriving after the roll call is completed may lose attendance for that session and may face additional consequences for repeated tardiness.
Classroom and Facility Use
Time Limit in Classrooms and Facilities: Students are not permitted to stay in the classroom, laboratory, hospital, or library beyond the designated hours. All students must vacate these areas at the appointed time unless they have received explicit permission to remain from the concerned faculty or staff.
