Resipratory Medicine

Department Infrastructure

The Department of Respiratory Medicine functions as a specialized clinical unit providing comprehensive care for respiratory diseases.

The RICU is equipped with advanced monitoring and life-support facilities including ventilators, multiparameter monitors, infusion and syringe pumps, CPAP systems, defibrillators, ECG machines, oxygen concentrators, and central oxygen and suction supply. The unit also has access to bedside ultrasound, portable X-ray facilities, and fully equipped crash carts to manage critically ill respiratory patients.

Hospital Information System with PACS enables quick access to laboratory reports, radiology images, and patient records, ensuring efficient patient care and monitoring.

Outpatient Department (OPD)

The Respiratory Medicine OPD provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and follow-up care for patients with respiratory illnesses.

Facilities available include:

  • Bronchoscopy Room for diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Sleep Laboratory for evaluation of sleep-related breathing disorders
