The Department of Pediatrics at the tertiary care centre is committed to providing holistic, compassionate, and comprehensive healthcare for children, with advanced neonatal care for premature and critically ill newborns. It offers essential child health services such as immunization, growth monitoring, developmental assessment, and nutritional guidance. The department is supported by modern infrastructure, including eight outpatient consulting rooms, a 75-bed inpatient ward, a 10-bed NICU, a 10-bed PICU, clinical demonstration rooms, seminar halls, a central research laboratory, and a well-resourced departmental library. Pediatric sub-specialty services include cardiology, nephrology, neurology, endocrinology, haematology, neonatology, gastroenterology, asthma care, rheumatology, developmental assessment, and nutritional rehabilitation. Clinical expertise encompasses routine and advanced diagnostic, medical, and procedural interventions, ensuring comprehensive care across all stages of childhood and adolescence. Academically, the department provides structured undergraduate and postgraduate training under the CBME curriculum, supported by modern teaching-learning methods, regular clinical discussions, and a state-of-the-art skills laboratory that promotes hands-on learning and competency development. The department has produced over 44 publications in reputed national and international journals in the last three years and has received recognition through awards, conference presentations, and academic contributions. Led by experienced faculty members, the department is dedicated to clinical excellence, research advancement, and training the next generation of pediatricians.
