Overview

The Department of Orthopaedics comprises a team of highly experienced surgeons who provide advanced treatment for a wide range of orthopaedic conditions including trauma, sports injuries, arthritis, and related disorders. The department is equipped to handle trauma cases 24×7 and routinely performs surgical procedures using the latest techniques such as arthroscopic reconstructive surgeries, joint replacement surgeries (Total Knee Replacement, Total Hip Replacement), and paediatric orthopaedic procedures. With a strong focus on patient care, the department also emphasizes academic excellence by offering high-quality training and clinical exposure to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. From newborns to the elderly, all musculoskeletal conditions are managed with modern implants, cutting-edge technology, and evidence-based surgical practices, ensuring comprehensive care and faster recovery.

  • A high-end dedicated Operation Theatre (OT) with laminar flow and a well-trained team, committed to efficiently performing trauma management, arthroplasty, arthroscopy, and deformity correction procedures.

 
 

1. SPECIALITY SERVICES

  • Specialized OPD clinics such as Back Ache Clinic, Arthroscopy Clinic, Knee & Hip Arthroscopy Clinic, Paediatric Clinic, and Deformity Correction Clinic (CTEV, Scoliosis, etc.).

 
 

  • All trauma management, arthroplasty, arthroscopy, deformity corrections, etc.

 
 

  • M.S. Orthopaedics – 3-year course affiliated with The Dr. M.G.R. University and NMC

 
 

  • The national conference IOACON 2024 was attended by the majority of our faculty and junior residents.

  • TNOACON 2024 was also attended by most faculty members and junior residents.

  • Paper and poster presentations were delivered by both junior residents and faculty in TNOACON and IOACON 2024.

  • Various orthopaedic workshops conducted at TVMCH were actively attended by faculty and junior residents.

  • Dr. Sukash was selected as one of the finalists in the IOACON 2024 Award Poster Presentation.
