2. PROCEDURE

Key procedures include lumbar puncture and CSF studies for neurological conditions, bone marrow aspirate and biopsy for hematological disorders, and ascitic and pleural fluid tapping for diagnosing conditions like cirrhosis and pleural effusions. The department also conducts intercostal drainage (ICD tube insertion) for pleural effusion and pneumothorax, along with other basic procedures such as intravenous cannulation, central venous catheter insertion, ABG sampling, and endotracheal intubation. These procedures are performed by skilled healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.
