With a proven track record of academic excellence and a legacy of nurturing skilled professionals,our department has successfully graduated numerous students dedicated to child dental care.Over the years the department has developed as a tertiary referral centre for all Pediatric Dentistry cases in South Tamilnadu.

1. SPECIALITY SERVICES
PREVENTIVE THERAPY
We focus on preventing dental diseases like caries, pulpitis, malocclusion, and gum diseases in children through:
- Regular checkups from 1 year
- Anticipatory guidance for parents
- Diet counselling
- Brushing technique demos
- Fluoride gel application and pit & fissure sealing
PREVENTION OF MALOCCLUSION
- Space assessment for permanent teeth from 6 years
- Remedial measures like timely extractions and appliance placement
- Habit correction (thumb sucking, mouth breathing, etc.)
- Growth modifying appliances for jaw growth
PREVENTION OF PULPITIS
- Early caries management
- Preventive resin restorations and fluoride-releasing cements
- Pulp capping procedures
RESTORATIVE AND ENDODONTIC TREATMENT
We manage carious and fractured teeth painlessly using:
- Atraumatic Restorative Treatment (ART) techniques
- Minimally Invasive Dentistry
- Bio-compatible restorative materials like Glass Ionomer Cements and composites
- Pulpotomy, Pulpectomy, Apexogenesis, and Apexification procedures
INTERCEPTIVE ORTHODONTICS
Prevent and correct issues like:
- Proclination, crowding, and spacing of teeth
- Removable or semi-fixed braces used between 6-12 years
- Takes advantage of jaw growth for better results
PSYCHOLOGY-BASED DENTAL TREATMENT
