Attendance and Fee Requirements
- Students are allowed to attend classes only after full payment of all required fees.
- All students are required to pay yearly fees promptly.
- If a student discontinues studies for any reason, they are liable to pay tuition fees for the entire course period.
- Certificates, including the Transfer Certificate, will be issued only after all dues are cleared, including tuition fees for the entire course.
Residential Campus Requirements
- SMIDS is a fully residential campus; all students must reside in the hostels.
- Visits to home are permitted only on days designated by the management; no day scholar system is allowed.
- Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are served in the hostel.
Campus Restrictions and Prohibited Items
- Personal vehicles, including two-wheelers and cars, are not permitted on campus.
- Electronic devices, such as mobile phones, iPods, video cameras, laptops, and similar gadgets, are prohibited.
- Smoking and the consumption of alcoholic beverages are strictly banned.
Dress Code and Personal Appearance
- A mandatory dress code applies to all students and house surgeons, with uniforms provided by the college.
- All students must wear a Doctor’s overcoat while on campus.
- Male students are required to shave daily.
- Prohibited clothing and accessories include jeans, T-shirts, bathroom slippers, studs, bangles, and bands.
- Female students must keep their hair tied tightly and are restricted from wearing hair accessories, flowers, etc. Small studs, a chain, and one or two bangles are permitted.
Academic and Conduct Expectations
- Regular value-oriented classes and discussions are held on campus. Participation in these programs is advised to promote character building and personal growth.
- During free hours, students should utilize the library and are not allowed to remain in classrooms when classes are not in session.
- Absolute discipline in conduct is expected from all students throughout their time in the institution. Violations will result in disciplinary action.
Hostel Leave and Home Visits
- Students may go home once a month after class on the second Saturday, returning by 8 a.m. on Monday.
- For emergencies, parents must collect students in person.
- Female students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian registered in the hostel records when leaving for home.
- Students must apply for leave of absence following the specified protocol before leaving for home.
Health and Fitness Requirements
- All students are required to present a fitness certificate from a Government Medical Officer.
- A mandatory medical check-up is conducted by the college prior to admission.
Grievance Redressal
- For grievances, students may approach the Principal or the Administrative Officer.
Anti-Ragging Policy
- Ragging is a criminal offense and strictly prohibited; any involvement will lead to expulsion from the institution.
- Expelled students are responsible for compensating any losses the institution incurs due to their actions.
- The Director’s decision regarding expulsion, loss, and recovery is final.
- In cases of ragging, the institution may report the incident to the police.
- Merely being present at a scene of ragging is considered abetment and is subject to punishment.
Valuables and Personal Belongings
- Students should avoid bringing valuables to campus, especially in classrooms, as the institution is not responsible for any loss of valuables.
Parental Responsibility and Communication
- Parents are responsible for periodically monitoring their ward’s academic performance by communicating with the relevant Head of Department (HOD) or Principal.
Visitor and Emergency Protocol
- Visitors must have the Director’s permission to meet students or faculty members.
- During emergencies, students must obtain permission from each department through the Principal and Director to leave campus.
Political and Religious Restrictions
- Political and religious discussions are not permitted within the college premises.
